Product Photography – Omin x BiPolar Bear Wear T-Shirt

Killorglin

As part of the 2024 K-FEST in Killorglin, I was tasked with photographing a limited-edition t-shirt designed by mural artist Omin (@ominous_omin) in collaboration with Dublin-based clothing company BiPolar Bear Wear. The t-shirt design was based on Omin’s artwork Space to Breathe, an 80x100cm spray-painted piece on 300gsm Fabriano paper, created as part of an ongoing body of work exploring the distillation of graffiti in its rawest form—mark making and its reflection of urban life.

The photoshoot took place on location in Killorglin, where Omin was simultaneously working on a large-scale mural for the festival. This allowed me to capture dynamic product shots with a backdrop that complemented the design’s urban and abstract elements. I joined Omin on a scissor lift as he continued painting, which gave me the opportunity to photograph the t-shirt in context, highlighting both the bold back print and pocket detail.

These photos were used to officially launch the t-shirt across social media platforms and in The Argus newspaper in Dundalk, helping to generate attention and sales for the campaign. With only 150 t-shirts produced, they quickly are being snapped up, with 100% of the profits donated to Save Our Homeless Dundalk.
